Today, the Commission and the European Investment Bank announce the creation of HERA Invest, a € 100 million top-up to the InvestEU programme, to support research and development (R &D) in the most pressing cross-border health threats, financed by the EU4Health programme. HERA Invest will enable the EIB to finance advanced research and development (R&D) of medical countermeasures and new technologies to tackle the most acute health threats facing the European Union.The European Commission and the European Investment Bank (EIB) have signed an agreement to establish HERA Invest, a €100 million guarantee to support investments in the health sector.
